The heart of Chewton Mendip for almost 100 years
A volunteer-run village hall for pantomimes, quizzes, music, meetings, clubs and celebrations – serving Chewton Mendip and the surrounding area.
A shared space for the whole village
Chewton Mendip Village Hall has been at the centre of village life for almost a century. Run entirely by a committee of volunteer trustees, it is home to community events, performances, meetings, clubs and private functions for around 1,400 people in Chewton Mendip and the surrounding area.
From our annual village pantomime – performed over three nights to audiences of around 100 each night – to quizzes, murder mysteries, music, board game and dance nights, there is always something happening.
The hall also has fibre internet, and offers a warm, safe place for residents during floods or power cuts.
